Emergency Assistance Program


What we can provide

CHAN is committed to helping our clients to endure a crisis through our Emergency Assistance Program (EAP). Please note, our resources are limited so the below services may not be available.

Food vouchers or gift cards for use in area grocery stores

Emergency baby supplies such as diapers and infant formula

Assistance paying utilities such as electric or gas bills

Clothing, food, and other items as available

How to request help

Please note, all visits are by appointment only. All applicants applying for EAP services must already have an active EBT card, be on Medi-Cal or have SSI documentation.


Here is the step-by-step process to request assistance or participate in one of our training programs.

  1. Submit an Inquiry Form, send an email to info@chanhd.com, OR call 760-241-9900 to get started.
  2. You will receive an email containing a link to complete an online application
  3. After the application is complete and submitted, you will receive an appointment from a CHAN representative to complete the process.
